Fiat brand sales for May 2019 show a gain of 10 percent over April sales. Fiat sales totals have been steadily on the rise since February. In particular, the Fiat 500 hatch and Cabrio models had their best sales month since last December, and the 124 Spider recorded its best sales since July of last year.
While that is some good news, year-to-date Fiat sales are running 39 percent behind last year. To counter this, Fiat is running significant incentives worth thousands of dollars on specific models through July 1st.

The big news for May is the proposed merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles with Group Renault of France. Combining the two global companies will create the world's third-largest car company and will save billions of dollars in development costs of new technology and meeting government mandates and regulations.
