The Cinquecento offers unique adaptations for the North American market and is designed for individuals who demand that style and fashion can coexist with practicality and functionality. Matching its sport-tuned suspension, the Fiat 500 Sport features athletically styled front and rear fascias with a larger grille and flared aerodynamic treatment. Between its unique 16-inch aluminum wheels with Mineral Gray painted pockets, the Cinquecento incorporates new body-side sill cladding for an enhanced sport appearance.
Completing this athletic vehicle's appearance are Performance Red painted brake calipers, a chromed exhaust tip and gloss black shadow-line window trim. Will we get the same personalization/ options as available in Europe for 500/Abarth?
It looks really good. Fiat kept their promise when they said the cosmetic changes to the US-spec 500 would be minimal.
I am really liking what I see so far of the US version. Love how they integrated the side marker lights into the wheel flairs, ala the Mini, a great way to add what is necessary, and yet have it nicely integrated into the body to preserve the overall looks of the car itself.
I like how they modified, as I thought they would the lift-gate to accommodate the US license plate and yet keep it in its original location..
Now to see how they treat the interior and such and love how the US sport version gets the power moonroof standard, whilst in Europe, it's not standard on the sport, but is on the Lounge and the fixed sunroof on the Pop.
Excuse me, I need new underwear.
Hi all.
It's been one crazy day! Of all days I had to go into work early, but just had time to get this up (before I was too late for work, sorry Boss!). I'm working on an analysis, that will be up soon.
Of course, I'm trying to get more info from sources. They tell me interior pics are coming(!), so keep an eye out for them.
Big news is the rear bumper, a major restyle. I'll have more on that soon.

That looks ALOT better. I like the minimal amount of body cladding and chrome. If I cant wait long enough for the Abarth, I think the sport would be the runner up.

All the first editions (Prima Edizione's) will be 6 speeds, but there will be automatic 500 available, time frame is not mentioned. However, I keep getting reports that there MAY be a new automatic offered, a 6 speed Aisin, full auto and not the Dualogic automated manual gearbox. I've been checking on this for a while now.....We'll see.

Thanks for the kind words. No images of the other 2 models...yet. From what I've heard, Fiat wants to get some 500's to dealers by the end of the year. I think Feb 28th is when the dealers have to have their facilities done.
So that's a rough time line as of today (remember anything can change).
Prices, well we can only guess. While we're waiting for the official price, check out my story on pricing. Of course it's speculation, we'll have to see how close I came once all is said and done.

i would like to know is their any rough guess how much fuel consumption is? is this environmental friendly or not? which price it will be available ?

It looks great. Im really glad they did not totally "Americanize" the car. Nice integration of the new bumper. It looks like we'll be getting the original 500 logo too instead of the crappy hybrid 500/cinquecento logos that were posted on the facebook page. The only thing that worries me, is that I do not see a place for the front license plate designed into the front bumper like the euro version has. I think this bumper might look a bit funky with a plate attached in front of the grille...
Seeing this only makes it more frustrating that the Abarth version - or some version with the turbo 1.4 MultiAir - won't be out until 2012. Come on Fiat/Chrysler.
As far as fuel consumption goes, the European version of the 500 1.4 gets comparable fuel economy to the Ford Fiesta 1.6 (the version that we get here), and that is WITHOUT MultiAir. So if the 10% fuel economy bump mentioned in the press release is to be believed, I'd expect an EPA rating of ~42 mpg on the highway.
