The following was a message sent to Fiat 500 Prima Edizione owners Monday night. It is from Laura Soave, Fiat North America Head, sharing an update on the Prima Edizione cars:
Hello,
I just wanted to take a quick moment to say hello and share some exciting news with you from our FIAT production facility.
As you know, your car just recently went into production. I totally understand your excitement and appreciate your patience as the days go by. Trust me, there is no one more excited than me to see you take delivery of your vehicle!
I thought now would be a good time to add to your anticipation. Here is a quick peak at your seats that are ready to be installed. I thought you would love to see them.
Stay tuned - we will be sharing more information and photos over the coming weeks.
Thank you again for your continued support, enthusiasm and passion for the FIAT Brand.
Ciao,
Laura Soave
Head of FIAT North America
This is great news, now we're rolling! Thanks for the update Laura!!

So the question now is...well 2 questions:
1: are the seats normal 500 Sport seats---Sports Cloth and Vinyl--with the Vinyl being a faux leather...or are these Prima seats actually Leather and cloth. The grain looks leather, but those Faux Leathers can be fairly hard to tell in photos.
2. How often will be be getting these surprise emails...Is one a day too much to ask :) :)
Gavin
Guess it's too late to make a change to my car!
This is a very exciting moment of my life. I will be a proud owner of my high school dream car in a month.
I do want to ask Laura or anyone who knows the answer. What percentage of Prima Edizione is made in the US? and what percentage is made in Europe? I recently learnt that the European models are not even manufactured in Italy. Alex

Hi Gavin, They do look like leather but are part vinyl and cloth. By the way, the sport seats are nice. Prima seats have red stitching which is just visible in the picture. I'm working on getting another picture.

Alex, congratulations on your new car! I believe vehicle content is part of the window sticker information. It's true that the European 500 is made in Poland, and they do a great job there. The North American Fiat 500 is manufactured at the Chrysler facility in Toluca, Mexico. This plant has always had a great reputation for turning out well build vehicles but now with Fiat production, it has been upgraded with new equipment and cutting edge processes. I'll have a story up soon on it.
