Fiat 500X Opening Edition Revealed!

Fiat has announced it will produce a special version of the Fiat 500X for Europe called the 500X "Opening Edition." Production of the Fiat 500X "Opening Edition" will be limited to just 2,000 cars and will be available in five European countries - Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland.

The 500X "Opening Edition" will come in two versions - one with two-wheel drive and geared towards the "urban sophisticate," the other with four-wheel drive aimed at outdoors use and recreation.

The two-wheel drive Fiat 500X "Opening Edition" will have two engine options:

• 140 HP 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II gas engine
• 120 HP 1.6 MultiJet II diesel engine

The four-wheel drive version has one:

• 140 HP 2.0 MultiJet II diesel engine with 9 -speed automatic

Fiat 500X Opening Edition urban version has soft-touch door panel inserts finished in carbon fiber look.

The Urban Sophisticate
Available in a pastel Art Grey, this two-wheel drive 500X "Opening Edition" is loaded with free equipment valued at 2,500 Euros:

• automatic climate control
• 18" alloy rims
• "Safety Pack" active safety systems (anti-collision, lane change assistance, lane departure warning system, rear camera for reversing)
• "Comfort Pack" (armrest and lumbar adjustment)
• Keyless Entry
• Keyless Go system
• tinted rear windows
• exclusive Opening Edition badge

The recreational Fiat 500X Opening Edition interior features brushed aluminum finishes, a matte grey dashboard and black leather with red inserts.


Outdoors and Recreation
The four-wheel drive 500X "Opening Edition" features tri-coat Amore Red paint and is also loaded with 3,500 Euros worth of free equipment including:

• navigation pack (Uconnect Nav 6.5" with additional USB port on the front armrest compartment)
• two-tone red and black leather interiors
• visibility pack with rain and dusk sensors
• electrically folding door mirrors
• auto-dimming rearview mirror
• steering wheel paddle shifters

Prices for the Fiat 500X Opening Edition in Italy start at 21,900 Euros for the 140 HP 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II two-wheel drive version and tops out at 30,650 Euros for the four-wheel drive model. Pricing includes the Opening Edition's exclusive content discount.
