2018 Fiat 500L Model Year Changes


Back in May, we broke the news that the refreshed Fiat 500L MPV would indeed arrive in North America for 2018. Fiat USA has now released images and details of the new North American 500L. The new 500L features a redesigned exterior, revamped interior plus numerous comfort and convenience enhancements. Expect to see the new 500L in dealerships this Fall.

2018 Fiat 500L Exterior Changes


Fiat has redesigned the front and rear fascias taking the Euro-chic 500L decidedly upmarket. The Fiat 500L has been the best selling car in its class since its introduction five years ago. The new design features more bright metal and revised trim.

Three new exterior paint colors are available on the 2018 500L: Blu Denim, Arancio Pastello (Pastel Orange) and Bronzo Metallizzato (Metallic Bronze)

  • Improved center console with relocated cup holders
  • New gear shifter and new parking brake handle
  • Revised HVAC control knob positioning

2018 Fiat 500L Pricing

Pricing for the 2018 Fiat 500L starts at $20,995 or the same as 2017.  Pricing for 500L Trekking models go up $330 and Lusso models increase $200 over last year's pricing. Interestingly, 2018 500L Pop models are $795 less than the equivalent 2016 model.  Lusso models are a substantial $1885 less than they were in 2016.

Well, I guess I'm happy that the changes were more of the up-date type vs significant mechanical/performance tweaks. I'll hold on to our '15 Lounge for a bit.

I have to say the video did nothing to dispel the common opinion that the L is an odd little mini mini van. I like ours and am relatively pleased with the performance; however, that video made it look like it could only handle flat, slightly curved roads at boring speed.

Just put down a deposit on 2018 500L lounge. I'm pretty sure I'm the first person to order one (in CANADA), since it's not even posted on Fiat website and no brochures have been printed.

I have a 2017 Trekking and very pleased with it, I hope they make major changes in the coming years , for sure I buy an other one , keep it up .

The Fiat 500L is a great, big/small car. I don't own one, but I have driven one in Providence, RI. I wish they would make the rear track wider with larger wheels and tires. For a small car, it's huge and roomy. I owned two Fiats, a 1979 131 and a 1980 Brava, same car with a different model name. These cars ran and ran. They both hit close to 300,000 miles, and they were still running well.
