2017 Fiat 500 and Abarth Model Changes

2017 Fiat 500 Pop

Fiat is revamping and repricing its entire model lineup for 2017. Fiat 500 hatch and Cabrio models including Abarth models feature extreme value with upgraded trim levels and a new low, low prices. For example, what was the higher spec $17,745 500 Easy model last year, now is renamed and becomes this year's base entry 500 Pop with a low $14,995 price. That's $2,750 less than the 2016 500 Easy model and even $2,000 less than last year's base Pop. The new 2017 Fiat 500 Pop is even $1,000 less compared to its price when it was originally introduced in 2011 and now has even more equipment.

This is just a taste of the savings, though. Lounge models are $2,000 less than last year and the high performance 2017 500 Abarth now is $2,580 lower than last year. Cabrio models also get revised pricing and range from $4,605 to $5,205 less than last year's comparable model. This is facilitated because now the Cabrio option can be added to any model for just $1,495. It should be noted that the price cuts are done without removing any features, and Fiat has even added additional content in most cases.

To streamline the lineup this year, Fiat is dropping last year's Easy model and folding its upgraded content into the this year's entry-level Pop. The popular 500 Sport is dropped as a stand alone model and will now be a package, but no worries, the 2017 winds up being $1,910 less than last year. Also gone from the lime up is the 500 Turbo. The new $19,995 price of the Abarth makes last year's $19,700 Turbo superfluous.

2017 Fiat 500 Pop Rear

Absent this year are any of the European Styling updates. Rumors say that this may happen once production of the NAFTA Fiat 500 is transferred to the Tychy, Poland plant that makes the 500 for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
