Fiat 500X Chicane and 500X Mobe Show Cars

Fiat 500X Chicane

Mopar is displaying two Fiat 500X concept cars at this year's SEMA show. SEMA stands for the Specialty Equipment Market Association, and holds a yearly trade show in Las Vegas highlighting the latest aftermarket and OEM parts and accessories. Mopar, the parts and accessories division in FCA customized a pair of Fiats - the 500X Chicane and 500X Mobe - that showcase what can be done with the Mopar accessories catalog and some imagination. Here is a look at them.

Fiat 500X Chicane Rear

The Fiat 500X Chicane is aimed at the street-tuner enthusiast by using a combination of off-the-shelf Mopar accesories and concept body parts. Mopar designed concept pasrts include a front fascia, body cladding and 20-inch two-tone Satin Black and Gloss Black wheels.

The Fiat 500X Chicane is painted in Gloss Competition Blue with a Gloss Black painted roof. A concept Chicane bodyside stripe completes the exterior customizations.

Fiat 500X Chicane Rear Interior

The interior of the 500X Chicane starts by pulling parts available at any Fiat Studio. The bright pedal kit, 500X logo-embossed premium carpet mat, a cargo management kit and a telescopic bar organizer are right out of the Mopar accessory catalog. Additional interior customization added are concept satin black door sill guards emblazoned with the 500X logo, Katzkin leather seats bordered in blue, and blue colored instrument panel and surrounds. Blacked out chrome bezel instrument panel trim and a blue colored Fiat badge at the center of the steering wheel complete the look.

Fiat 500X Chicane Dual Exhaust

Mechanically, the 500X Chicane is motivated by a 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir2 engine backed by a nine-speed automatic transmission. A Mopar concept cat-back exhaust system bumps up the horsepower and terminates with twin blacked out exhaust tips. Helping earn the Chicane title is a concept lowering kit that widens the track and sharpens the already great handling the 500X is known for.

Fiat 500X Mobe

The Fiat 500X Mobe concept car has a kitesurfer's lifestyle in mind. Mobe is the name of a kite-surfing trick, and this 500X is set up to carry gear to the beach and beyond. Like the Chicane, the Mobe uses off-the-shelf Mopar accessories and concept ideas.

500X Mobe's Ivory Pearl exterior is set off with a Matte Bronze painted hood, roof, mirror caps and lower grille surround. On the lower body sides are an “X” stripe graphic, colored in concept Mopar Blue. Production 18-inch wheels available right out of the Mopar accessories catalog are painted in two-tone Matte Bronze and Satin Black and use a Mopar Blue accent.

The neat looking 500X Mopar production roof rack is attached to production side rails and is accented with special Mopar logo graphics.

The interior customization includes blue seat inserts embroidered with the “X” logo, door sill guards with Matte Bronze paint, black molded cargo tray with Fiat logo, premium front all-weather mats, and emergency first aid kit. A head restraint-mounted coat hanger and a blue kite surfer decal round out the interior.

Fiat 500X Mobe Exhaust

A cat-back exhaust system with twin tailpipes boosts the performance of the 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir2 engine.
