New 2014 Fiat 500 Updates

2014 Fiat 500

Information on the new 2014 Fiat 500 is starting to come out, and there have been some updates. Big news for 500 Sport, Turbo, and Lounge models is the front passenger seat has been revised and now sits 1 inch (25 mm) lower for more headroom. Additionally, the passenger seat now has seat position memory with the tilt/slide handle just like the driver's seat. There is also now an arm rest for the passenger. It should be noted that 2014 500 Pop models just get the passenger seat memory, and not the other modifications.

The 2014 Fiat 500 Abarth models also receive the passenger seat height, armrest and memory features. These changes were the response to the most often asked for requests by owners of the 500.

Other changes for 2014 are a new interior environment for the Fiat 500 Sport. Accenting the Nero (black) interior environment, the 500 Sport now offers new monotone Avorio cloth sport seats and corresponding instrument panel trim and sport steering wheel. On the outside, new five split-spoke 16-inch aluminum wheels with polished (500 Sport) or Hyper Nero (500 Turbo) face feature a more sculptured appearance and a Rosso (red) accented wheel cap that matches the lacquered brake calipers.

Two new colors have also been added for the 2014 Fiat 500 and 500c lineup: Granito Lucente (granite crystal) and Nero Puro (straight black). These replace last year's Grigio (grey metallic) and Nero (black metallic) paints.

Besides the passenger seat updates mentioned above, the 2014 Fiat 500 Abarth and Abarth Cabrio models feature new multi-spoke 16-inch aluminum wheels finished in Hyper Nero (black) and wrapped in 195/45 R16 Pirelli Cinturato all-season performance tires as standard equipment.

New colors for the Fiat 500 Abarth and Abarth Cabrio lineup include Granito Lucente (granite crystal) and Nero Puro (straight black).

I'll have more on the new 2014 Fiat 500s, so stick around!

Wonder if the seat tracks or base can be retrofit to pre-2014 models. Would be nice to increase the headroom in my 2013.
