First Fiat 500T Images?

Fiat 500T unmasked?

Could this be the first image of the much rumored Fiat 500T? The Fiat 500T will reportedly have a detuned 130 HP 1.4 L turbocharged engine from the Fiat 500 Abarth mated to the body of a Fiat 500 Sport. We'll see how this develops, but don't expect much news while the Fiat 500 Abarth is in the headlines.

This car has a front bumper cover from the Fiat 500 Abarth. The 2.7 inch longer front end provides extra room for the turbocharger and intercoolers in the 500 Abarth. Is it doing the same for this car?

Good the 500T sounds like an ideal in-between option, depending on its eventual price. It would be best if FIAT could have squeezed a higher hp base model engine in the U.S. 500 like the new Mazda 'Skyactive' 4-cyl in the M3, -- however this turbo version will at least be a way to get the 500's HP up to higher horsepower levels wihout having to go with the more expensive Abarth package.

Hi Chris, I've been exposed to FIAT Abarths back in the late 60's, early 70's. I built and maintained a MINI Cooper and raced against a couple of Abarths in the SE in SCCA club racing. I want to purchase a 500T or an ABARTH. My problem is I now have an advanced case of Arthritis making shifting a manual transmission difficult. You have mentioned in previous blogs that more compact 6 and 7 speed transmissions are being developed. Do ypou know if either transmission will find its way to the 500T or the ABARTH?
