As a Chicago resident, it's annoying that all of the dealers are *way* out in the suburbs. I plan on a 500 Abarth when they come out, but I was hoping for a dealer in the city.

Be thankful that you have a dealer within 300 miles! I should be so lucky as I live in Iowa and Chicago area is my nearest dealer on the list at around 300 miles of driving. I don't care though. I used to have a Bertone X1/9 and it's funny there was a dealer right here in Iowa for those obscure cars back in the late 80's and even though they couldn't service them they still sold them new.

Canadian dealers are all listed within the page source of www.fiatcanada.com website, if you're interested of publishing that. ;)

Not Madison, WI? Really? This is the small, "green" car capitol of the state. This calls Fiat's and Chrysler's decison making process into question. Really!

In 2 years they will be opening more locations. Plus Chrysler/ Jeep/ Dodge vehicles will be build on Fiat platforms ie Chrysler 200.

Chris,

I know that some non-Chrysler Group dealers applied for Fiat franchises. Do you know if any of these people received dealerships? Just curious.

Live in Montana. When I bought my smart car we were promised to eventually have dealers and service closer than 600 miles. That was 3 years ago still nothing. Seems Fiat is doing the same thing. Nothing in eastern Washington and nothing at all in Montana.

Hi all,

These are the first round of dealers that have been picked. There is another round of dealers to be announced, so don't give up.

Hi Chris,
I am a fiat trained technician of 14 years living in ireland, I have my dealer expert technician cert and my alfa romeo master engineer cert. sadly my cuntry has been ruined by hungry bankers and alot of us have to look abroad for a fresh start. do you know when these dealers are going to open as i would love to send out a few cv's.

I am very excited for the 500, but I must say, I do observe a pattern here. In Pittsburgh, ONE dealer in a REMOTE suburb, and the next nearest ones in third tier towns. Apparently the (wildly successful) MINI example of first getting dealers in urban centers where the hip early adopters live was completely lost on the decision makers at Chysler/Fiat. A recipe for disappointment.

Hi, I would contact the dealers of your choosing now. Just go down the list and get their website address. Good luck.

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Emonds59,

I really think the economy is more the cause of this. Fiat has targeted all the right areas but, for many dealers, it's just too much to invest at this time.

What about the Puerto Rico Dealers List?
I know there were invited to the meetings, so there should be a info.
Please advice!

A well kept secret: Fiat has unofficially made its entrance to the United States three years ago with the help of Suzuki. In Italy, it's called a Sedici. In the US,.we call it the Suzuki SX4 All Wheel Drive.

This is disappointing, to say the least. I've been putting off a new car purchase for a while now, and was hoping to get into a Fiat, but I simply can't justify buying a car from a dealer so far away. Apparently they're willing to pass up the Northeast Florida market.

You can remove San Antonio--they backed out.
