My email had the car pictured in white (the color I had reserved). Anybody get one in red?

I like the black swoop down the side with the 500 logo on the rear hip. I wonder how and where they will use the Prima logo. I like the wheel selection too.

Yeah...finally some info...and an actual PHOTO...

Next info hopefully is price, more photos and a list of possible options...

did everybody get a email with the gray model?? I know Chris and I have ordered gray, but wondering if people who ordered white or red got an email with a white or red Prima...

Looks great, except for the stripe. I hope that's an option.

Here's a link to the red version!

Looked at all three colors and I'm having such a hard time deciding between them!

Right now it's between RED and GRAY.

Thoughts?

As future owner of #286, I can't wait to see what's in the works. Hoping for a red interior option. I am a bit skeptical of the time frame though. I'm hoping they can deliver by April. Does anyone know if they have done pre-production in Mexico with real production beginning in December or if that is the start of pre-production of US spec cars?

I got mine as well. #241 How many people are planning on being in LA?

Getting excited yet?

I received that too and given my residence in LA, I thought that means we can catch the official reveal on Nov 17. CIAO FIAT rep couldn't confirm that.

Congratulations Chris! Now you don't have to still worry about getting one like the rest of us!

Hi,

prima edizione #261 is red with the black 500 stripe also. I can send you the image if you want to add it to your post.

Thanks for the info., I found mine in the junk mail folder. If you have Yahoo mail check in junk if you do not have it yet, it might be there.

I'm not really digging the thick flat black stripe but I do like those wheels.

For those asking about options...... The Prima Edizione cars only have the options of sliding glass roof and engine block heater. Those were options you selected when you made the reservations. The colors, red, gray, white were the only other choices you made on the reservations. This is a limited series so there is no building the car up with options. You get what they build.
I would love to know more about specifics on how it is equipped.

I'd also like to hear something from Chrysler that assures me that dealers aren't going to gouge us above msrp on these cars. They will quickly shoot themselves in the foot if they try that. The Chrysler dealers are the scariest part of this whole thing.

I'm liking the white a lot...is it possible to change from gray to white?

As for the stripe...eh, ok...would have preferred a Italian colors stripe up high on the door or an Abarth type stripe down low on the door...perhaps saying Prima instead of Abarth...or saying 500 instead of Abarth.

I understand that they want the prima to be unique and this is likely a stripe that will only be offered on the Prima...unlike the Italian colors stripe that will be available to all 500 owners...at the same time, Fiat needs to be showing off the 500 to all potential owners in a way that makes the 500 look best...and that black stripe, while ok and a bit different for the 500, isn't really the best effort from Fiat.

Need some high resolution images before making my final decision, but if that is the way all the primas come, would likely change from gray to white...the stripe is lost in the gray. Plus I kinda like the white dashboard...makes the inside of the car brighter and more open looking...a dark gray panel accent kinda blends in with the current dash.

Again, more high resolution images will help with that decision (I am pretty sure you can still change the final color and roof)

Looking at all three, I must say that, to me, white with the grey stripe looks the best. I was a bit late in getting my order in, was put on the waiting list, and eventually #468 became available. Should find out who cancelled so I can send them a fruit basket.

oh, funk white would be great...

#286 again. While I reserved Grigio, does anyone know for sure if the Blanco will be a solid white or a pearl white? If solid, I will probably change to that. With all the black trim, black sunroof and black stripe, a solid white would look pretty good.

I agree with a few others here: I don't care for the dark stripe. I called the number yesterday and was told they would get back to me very soon as to whether or not this would be an option. Add to that, if I can't choose on the interior color scheme, hm... I'm not sure I'll go for this version, Prima or not. So someone out there may still get #349!

I've been coveting this car for too long and want it the way I've imagined it, more or less!

Can't tell right now, thought I did, but after looking at the microscopic pics (LOL), I don't know.

Hi Laura,

I don't know for sure, but here is what I think. I would be surprised if there wasn't a stripe delete option. I assume it is part of the package, but it has to be put on by hand, so I would think they could just skip your car and go to the next ;)

I'll pass your message on to someone.

Best regards,

Chris

It's a tough one for fiat...they will want the prima to be unique...so the stripe pattern can't be something used on any other 500...

So, while I like the Italy colors, that is a standard 500 add on.

I think an abarth style stripe with either "prima" or "500" could do the trick and look nicer than the current stripe. But fiat will want to keep the prima slightly different than the regular 500 and it's bizzlion add ons...so it's tough to do.

Fyi the Stripe can be removed very easy!
Last I have car #80 and can not wait! I live in wisconsin and will be going yo LA on the 17th to take a peek at my new BABY

I was going to say, even if the stripe is not optional, it should be relatively trivial to remove it. It is only a vinyl, and those aren't exactly impossible to remove.

Laura in New England said...

So happy to know I can remove the stripe. Whew!!!

I have #109, red with sunroof. I don"t like the stripe either, however, that's what will make it different than the other 500s. hopefully, Fiat will offer a different stripe. Remembr these are peliminary photos and the stripe may change, either way, I'm not removing mine.
