Fiat 500 Prima Edizione going on sale in Canada

Fiat fans in Canada, set your clocks. On November 23 at 12:01 AM EST, the Fiat 500 Prima Edizione will go on sale.

There will be two models of the Prima Edizione. A regular Prima Edizione with a slew of standard features....

and a Prima Edizione Speciale with a sliding glass roof and other features (by the way, this car is closer to our US specs).

Very interesting... Why is the Canada model a 2011 while ours is a 2012? Vlad

OMG.I just searched my email and found the last one from FIAT in the junk folder. The US Prima version is $19,500!!! -- I put $500 down on one months ago. The Prima apparently has Cloth seats, sport version wheels, a spoiler and some commemorative badges. And commemorative floor mats, if one could even imagine. (And try replacing them once they get worn out...) Wow. I may actually have to cancel my reservation because of this. These specs, not even including the 101 hp engine, are far, far too costly. They originally announced the 500 would be around $15k-17K, (The US Base "Pop" model is $15,500) but the Prima now blasts past that by $4,000! And for what??? Are commemorative badges and only three color choices worth $4000? And plus, the Prima's are being delivered roughy the same time as all other new 500s. Would there realistically EVER be any collector's resale value bump worth this price premium? And it's not the turbo engine even. I was so hopeful about buying the Prima. Now I feel like I'm being given an offer I can't refuse. Well FIAT, I may just refuse it. I'm so disappointed. FIAT should have treated us first adopters with a little respect...

Spektor: the Prima Edizione, considering standard equipment, wheels, and suspension, is equivalent to the Sport, which starts at $17,500. It includes enough extras (automatic climate control, Bluetooth™, bespoke wheels, and others) to make up most of the rest of the $19,500.

Maybe read the spec sheet they send you next time.
